11 Reasons Why I Love Feedly — And You Should Too

Feedly I love Feedly and I love it even more now because they have launched features. The first time I tried Feedly was when Google discontinued the Google Reader. I even published a blog post about Feedly to express my gratitude. I wasn't a very active Feedly user over the past few months. But recently I noticed that they launched a "Read Later" service of their own. And another feature called "Boards". The result? I uninstalled Pocket and moved all my Pocket items to Feedly. So now, I have decided that it's worth mentioning the 11 Reasons Why I Love Feedly. Just like I did for Dropbox. And Google Photos. Feedly was NOT for everyone as it was basically an RSS reader. But now it's for everyone. Meaning, it was useful only for those who understand blogs and RSS feeds (and maybe its purpose as well). But not anymore. Because Feedly is now simple and powerful than ever.

11 Reasons Why I Love Google Photos — And You Should Too

Google Photos I hated Google+ when it was launched as a social network as it was forcing us to sign up for a Google+ account to use other Google services (like YouTube, Gmail, Picasa Web, etc.). But then I learned to love Google+ because of Google+ Photos. Google+ Photos was a revamped version of Picasa Web Albums. I was able to explore all my Picasa Web Albums (oh yeah, it was my favorite photo storage service) in Google+ Photos and then there was a handful of powerful features like Unlimited Storage (up to 2048 x 2048 px), Auto-Backup (to backup every single photo on your phone to Google+), Auto-Enhance (a fantastic online photo editing tool), Photo Sharing, etc. As you probably know, Google dropped the "+" from Google+ Photos and now it's simply known as Google Photos (in other words it's now a standalone product). That's not all! Google Photos offers free unlimited storage for photos up to 16 MP or around 4,000 x 4,000 px (up from 4 MP or 2,000 x 2,000 px). Voilà! Google Photos is a standalone product and it's got over 200 million monthly active users. In fact, it's one of the best Google products ever. It's great because Google+ Photos was such a great application for photo storage and organization but was actually hidden inside an ugly social network.

If you're a newbie blogger then it may be difficult to come up with a new topic each day (especially when you want to blog daily). As you probably know blogging is all about quality content and you really don't have to blog everyday just to keep your blog active. When you publish a post you have to make sure that there's something unique in your content and you’re adding some value to your posts.

And if you're active on social media then it's almost impossible to share only your own content all the time. Even if you can, you shouldn't be doing that because your audience must be interested in other content related to your niche.

Be A Content Curator

If you want to become a good blogger then you have to become a good content curator. Like FastCompany has mentioned Content Curators are the new superheroes of the web. They say:

Curation is the act of individuals with a passion for a content area to find, contextualize, and organize information. Curators provide a consistent update regarding what's interesting, happening, and cool in their focus.

The good thing is… when you read, curate, and share more industry specific content you’ll get topic ideas naturally and you’ll know exactly what your audience want.
